9ft Thos. Padmore Antique Refectory Snooker Diner in oak C.1930 (B302) SOLD
Oak Arts and Crafts style refectory snooker dining table.
This is a very rare 9ft antique snooker diner, in oak with pitch pine table leaves, by the maker Thos. Padmore.
A very substantial sized dining table. The table legs are 5 1/2 inches square at the widest part.
Circa 1930, this table has its original wind up rise and fall mechanism, which is operated by turning a handle, to raise the table from dining to playing height.
The woodwork has been sympathetically revived and polished. The cushions have been re-rubbered and covered, and a new bedcloth will be fitted to the three-piece slate upon installation.
The four pine leaves, although not original to the table, are from the same period, and have been re-styled and French polished to match the table.
The price includes a ‘starter kit’ of cues, balls, triangle, chalk, rules, and small scoreboard.
